regarding the first round, when i went in jan, it was like that.

a group of 10 girls, a panel of 2 interviewers. we were asked to tell them what are we doing now and why we want to join SIA.

in march, i was told by other girls that they encountered a slightly different situation, they were asked about their hobbies and self introduction.

remember, smile! :D

good luck everybody! :D

Have read thru the past few weeks posts tat u guys posted.
But I still hav so many doubts in me, i hope it's not too late to ask them now :)

What is the dress code for this 1st round interview? And anything to take note of for this 1st round? like wat kind of make up? Really hav no idea how's the 1st round like, cos no frenz ard been thru it.. hope someone can advise. like issit one-to-one, or a group of us to a panel of interviewers? wat kind of questions they'll ask... etc

I know there are 5 rounds in all, so i supposed it's as following according to "thekness"
1) interview @ the hotel ballroom
2) kebaya trying
3) 1-1 interview wif HR
4) water confidence test
5) final interview wif mgmt
yes the 1st round is the group interview. group of 10. one by one introduction. about 5 mins to "sell yourself". they won't interupt you or ask any questions. after everyone has "sold" themselves, you all leave the room and the interviewers will make their decision. as for the 1-on-1 interview, its more personal, they will ask questions, those typical interview kinda stuff la. plus you will have to read a short passage. basically to test your english, also in case you need to make announcements on flight.

as for dresscode its always safer to stick to formal.

For steward, what's the dress code for 3rd round? I mean the water confidence test. Casual wear like jeans and t-shirt and bring the swimming wear? Anyone know please tell me, thank you so much.

They cannot fault you and nothing really wrong but demin jeans are not part of our dress code. Preferably, go in shirt and pant. :o

You will need to have the personality, the smile, the confidence, the all important first impression and of course, your spoken english to get you past. And not forgetting, lady luck because your group might be very competitive with strong interviewees in your group.
I've posted this earlier on as revealed by our recruitment. :)
