Rabbit,Rabbit wrote:6) 2 mth - relocate to HK. May be it's work or may be it's weather, I start to get some big pimples on my face, incl nose.
May be during that time my nose is still not stable, anyway, the worst scenerio happend!!! Infection!!! (thunderstorm sound comes in....)
I saw a PS in HK, as expected, antibiotics (BTW, actually GP said that all antibiotics can kill the gems, if you encounter such problem, see GP and get cheap antibiotics, ok, don't be con'ed by the PS)
No use, infection get worse, from the outside it cldn't tell, but the tip of the nose is hot and there's a white patch, the cartilage is pushing the skin to a very tight stage.
I then consult another private hospital in HK which is famous for PS and had a thorough consultation. The doc gave me 4 days consecutive injection for strong antibiotics, keep eating the pills that I got fr previous doc, double dose... Doc said if it doesn't heal, must take out everything!!! Then S$10,000 will be down to drain, I thought... then cry again. 1 week later... it subsides, thanks God!!! But some problem with my bottom part (ladies problem, according to doc, the antibiotics kill any baterias inside my body, incl the good once down there... luckily it's not a permanent thing after I stop taking antibiotics...)
The PS doc in the hospital suspected the infection is caused by a giant pimple at the side of my nose and he gave me a powerful pimple cream. It helps to kill subsequent ones and from then on, I need to be careful and keep a good complextion.
sorri borrowed your post abit ok?
I got Vitamins C tablets for two of the forumers here to take for their pre and post PS because of the above scenarios, which i dun want to happen to them, and waste their $, suffer pain and also not to go thru the pain of reoperation again. I think i got post in the past abt getting Vitamins C for post operation protection.
Realise the Rabbit's complication come TWO months after Operation? most would have thought their unsafe days are over.. which sadly issn't. it is not really that safe as we normally thought within the 1st 2-3 months post op which i think i mentioned before in the past.
i reason i get them Vitamins C is to boost their immune system, increase their healing rate, reduce their scarring and also reduce the chances of infections, complications and rejections. I hope they understand what i am doing for them and not just to scare or con them.
