There is one at the Century Square guess they are more of novels and romance books. Give them a call to find out.

Book Affair #03-22 Tel: 6783 5114
http://www.centurysquare.com.sg/store_d ... tore_id=95

Alternatively you can try out the following:-

1. Knowledge Bookstore (03-35, Bras Basah Complex, Tel: 6336 7530)
http://bras-basah-complex.com.sg/ch_05/ch_05_p03.shtml

2. Silver Kris (01-187/8, Marine Parade Central (at the hawker centre), Tel: 6348 4703) and

3. Angel Book Store (03-78, Far East Plaza, Tel: 6734 0669)
http://www.fareast-plaza.com/shopdir.asp?cate=4

Btw, what type of magazines you are looking for?

fashion magazines older than 1 month are no longer in fashion. Therefore they are only paper. Same with business textbooks. (if you listen to all the business guru's who take your money for silly seminars)

So, with that in mind I would have to agree with IceMilo "Karang-guni" is the best bet cause they are only worth the paper their printed on.

There doesnt seem to be a big market in secondhand stuff here. Recycling in general doesnt seem to be usual. What does Singapore do with all its rubbish?

They incinerate the majority of it and then take the potash and make lightweight bricks for use in the building industry.

yeah i've just read that and also that the act of incineration generates 25 million dollars worth of electricity. I guess Singapore does recycle!

I know there are a few second hand bookshops in the Bras Basah complex but whether they will give you a good price or not I don't know. Sorry, it isn't near Tampines - perhaps you could go and talk to them first to make sure they want them before lugging them all the way down there and having a wasted journey.
