Yeah I walked past there today, didn't go in as I was already laden with groceries, it's between like Farrer Road and second ave I think.

There's a german deli at outram park too. Near the Vienna Kaffeehaus and the New Majestic hotel.

Werners on East Coast Road, Siglap is a lovely German restaurant. Ate there last night. Yummy. The owner is always around or his wife so I'm sure they would gladly help you out with whatever you are looking for.

We ate at Werners a few weeks ago. The sausage was to die for. Bumplins where not as good as I like. The pig knuckle looks devine. However what is a German restaurant without a wiener snitzel or roasted duck with caraway seeds.
We will go back again I have to try the knuckle. The child portions are somewhat small but all the prices are good for a ethnic food place.

That's Austrian food, not German. Try the Vienna Coffeehouse (Wiener Kaffeehaus) near outram.

Werners by Siglap is also a beakery, Actually it started out as a German bakery.
Since I have never been to Germany yet am German I may be mistaking a German restaurant/bakery with an Americanised German food.
But Werners does have a Bakery attached to it.

Fish is super expensive. Otherwise from my neighbourhood coffeeshop can still get economy rice for 2 people (1 meat 2 veg) for about $7.

You will probably have better luck trying to learn German on duolingo. It’s free on the App Store, I use it to learn Spanish.
