Thanks for the reminder.CHI wrote:If you have regular back pain you may want to try a Yoga class specifically for back pain, or try a good Pilates class, Pilates in most cases will help you to overcome your back pain better but will depend on the instructor.
If you are a beginner and have back pain DO NOT try the first two exercises suggested The Wheel and Plow are more advanced and could very likely make your back pain worse. With Ashtanga, is quite a dynamic class whch moves fairly rapidly, again if you are new to Yoga and have back pain, you should try something a little easier on the body where you can concentrate on technique and gently strengthening the body i.e. a beginners level Hatha Yoga class or Back Care class.
Miki, most Yoga studios allow you to buy a block of sessions which can be used for a variety of classes throughout the week, and the classes are usually valid for a few months. You can try www.oasisholistic.com if you like.
hi~ are the classes at absolute yoga alright for beginners? i've stopped yoga for many years.. is it too tough to pick up hot yoga straightaway?expatg wrote:I have been going to Absolute Yoga - River Valley Road and Telok Ayer, they do Hot Yoga (like Bikrams) for 90 mins which is a bit of a killer for the first few classes, but gets easier. Good facilities and good instructors. Would definately recommend.
