hey there! welcome! i m a local newbie as well.. Wondering if there's any singaporeans out there too..

Guys, I wonder if tis site welcome ONLY expats or locals as well? there's someone in another topic says tat tis SINGAPORE EXPATS FORUM is for EXPATS ONLY.. is it true?

me local too.....there is another thread which has a poll on how many expats here n how many locals...... as of last nite, they beat us 10:1 so go figure.....dont think they will feel threatened by us hahahahaha

moreover, we locals will be able to offer help whenever is possible, dont ya think? :D

:D but the problem is, that person was scolding us n told us to go find ourself a pathetic forum.. so sad.. how can they treat us like tis when we offer assistance if they need help? :???: Anyway, we can just carry on on ourselves :) so, anything goin on recently?

anyway everyone are entitled to their opinions....im sure there are friendly ones around as well as unfriendly ones.... so dont beat upself up cos of this ok???? jus be friendly and go with the flow ;)

I'm an expat and i have no problem with locals joining in.
just try to avoid using "lah","tomolo" or any form of singlish on the forums.
i think it gets on their nerves.

Thanx for the feedback.....i totally agree with you on the singlish......i, too try not to speak singlish.....it sometimes sounds very gross ahhahahaha

By the way, any body interested in learing diving? i wanna learn, but not very sure how ot go about it.

To start off the course will be open water course
2 ( normally evening ) theory session
2 pool session ( evening ) where u learn some skills

5 open water dives ( tioman , aur , dayang etc.. malaysia ) over a weekend.

Course fees is about 450 - 500 depending which dive centre u take up the course with.

Includes all dive equipment , padi manual on open water course , all meals n accomodation , transfer during the weekend dives

Its a nice world "down" there :) welcome to the dive world
