Is it true that they just eliminate those below the required min. height in the water confidence round?? Becos, we already have our height measured during the Kebaya-fitting round. So by right, if our height does not qualify, they wouldn't have pass those below the mark right? In another words, those that passed the Kebaya, doesn't it mean that their height are acceptable?

the water confidence test is to basically check the skin condition. as i've said, be sure to put on concealor if you have any blemishes on the skin. as long as it can be well covered, the beautician would not mind.

Hi ladies,

I am really upset that I missed the recent SIA interviews.Does anyone know when is the next intake? I am 24 this year and turning 25 years old next year. Will I be too old for the application then? :(

Life as an SIA gal

Post by Waiting to sign bond » Fri, 14 Jul 2006 5:30 pm

Hi everyone all the best in ur pursuit to becoming an air stewardess!

Getting thru the selection is just half the battle,

Training...exams... is another thing.

And then there's the actual Flying.

do we really have to wash toilets and is it true tht
the newbies are bullied into washing toilets all the time?!

I also heard tht there's alot of sleazy behaviour amongst the staff...
alot of promiscuous ppl. Is there any truth to this?

What is the weight limit you have to be. Coz the guy who interviewed me told us during the tea-party tht we got to watch our weight.

Otherwise, Will be issued a warning...

Are there any married ppl who are flying???
Does SIA stereotype newly-weded. Will this affect
chances of recruitment?

Lots of questions...Any answers, Guys?

Really? Honestly, I am pretty afraid that I would have to wait for a long long time(I am thinking maybe a year or so...) for their next intake as now they are recruiting massively. Sob sob.....

natural? unless u got perfect skin i dun think anyone can go thru natural. i've seen those with thick make up getting thru on that day. n fairly gd skin with few blemishes but didn't get thru.

hey girl..
washing of toilets is a must!!!
We might have a " glam image" but afterall we are crew, we are waitresses k! =) we serve ppl my dear....
and the plane is our workplace...of cos we must learn to clean and tidy up our areas...right?
and...its not exactly that the seniors bully us...
but imagine ure the senior there?...u would obviously wan ur junior to learn all the job scopes which uve went thru before...and goes without saying...cleaning of toilets will be passed to us..

as for sleazy ppl or behaviour....i believe all organisations have it..
jus don be part of them will do..be a dignified crew! :)

with rgds to weight...
as long as u still can fit the uniform which they have custom tailored for u..
it shld be fine..
but shld u grew fatter and cant fit the uniform...u would probably be given a warning..afterall..we are supposed to hold this "image"..so yah...not too fat...

and.....as ive mentioned....marriage status does not matter..unless ure saying ure pregnant?so i doubt they will mind that...dont worry k..

:D
