Hi guys,
I wish to create a network of wine lovers, and create constant activities for them to learn and explore more about wines, and also meet people with similar interest, and basically have fun.
I am organising a wine challenge, a game people can play, have fun, and discover wines together.
The theme for this wine challenge would be "grape varieties that are not common". That means, riesling, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, merlot, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz are not allowed.
The game goes like this. Everybody brings a bottle of wine according to the theme, and we will all blind taste all the wines together over dinner. At the end of the dinner, we will all decide on which wine we liked the best, and the person who brought the winning wine will get his or her dinner free, and also the winner gets to set the theme for the next challenge, as well as the date of the next challenge.
I will holding this wine challenge at Gazebo Restaurant. A $50+++ set dinner menu will be arranged for us.
I believe this will be an excellent way to explore wines together, it would be a great get together to share and exchange knowledge on wines. Also, great for practising to identify wine through blind tasting. Definitely a great opportunity for all wine lovers.
