Thanks for your post SMS, it is sometime since I have been in plane and have only flown SIA (since 1997) so I don't know about other airlines. Come to think of it
I have just remembered they do have an overhead locker they keep locked (call it a memory flashback) perhaps I am not so old after all.

However, crew would have to be a certain height as you say so let's leave it there.
