I do agree with Bafana's thinking as such, we have had occasions with the WNDC, where we would strand at a place like the postbar at Fullerton hotel. There we could 'enjoy' an Erdinger Beer for the little sum of 26 S$
That is not my kind of enjoyment, it is outrageous and insane.
But at the same time, for me and I think a few others here there is such a variety in beers and especially in good beers, that are even better enjoyed with some proper and decent food in a nice ambience. And it should NOT mean it has to suck your wallet dry, as the enjoyment will then be gone, like at the idiot postbar.
Well, in that case no other place in Singapore than Oosters matches superb beers with nice, authentic Belgian dishes.
Last night we went again, I had 2 Hoegaarden Grand Cru and a Chimay Bleu, a seafood bouilabaisse and my all time favorite fries with Belgian mayonaise. Less then 50 S$...
