Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong is reportedly planning to compete in the New York City Marathon in November.

The Texan retired from professional cycling after his record-breaking win in last year's Tour and says he is looking for a new 'activity' in his life.

"I've been training some, but I wouldn't call it serious," he told BBC Sport.

"It's just something to fill a void in my life after I quit competing as a professional cyclist."

That man has got that special something which would make him a success in everything he does, guts and determination.

Does anyone else think that those are two of the most important virtues for a happy and (successful) life?

What do you think? What else do we need, really, to be happy...(according to what we see as our goals in life?)

Don't care if he's got two, one or none, the guy is my hero!
