I heard there is a Japanese speaking group that meets ocassionally and I did hear that the gatherings happened before.
Is it still happening by any chance?
If you are interested, the Japanese meetup group is having a gathering on 11April at Tea Chapter Neil Road. Refreshments usu. cost around S$7. But they do bring in native speakers and we practise our oral skills (or what's left of them). The previous time I went, it was a pretty large multi-cultural group. No biru guzzling though
Just turn up...no need to contact anyone in advance... pay the organizer at the end of the gathering for the refreshments.
And everyone is welcome, no matter how good/ poor your Jap is.
At least be prepared to introduce yourself very briefly.
e.g. Name ~ " Watashi wa _______ desu" followed by the casual "douzo yoroshiku" is enough lar.
Hmm ....'coz when i'm there all i know most of the people either planning or got their JLPT or if not live in Japan for quite sometimes...for my case...i can understand basic nihongo but more than that my brain gone dead on me
anyway will love to drop by again in the future.....
If you know English, your chances of landing a great career in a multinational organisation located in your native country or finding work in another...
