So a scruffy lad approached me at a bar.

SL: "Sow, bie yore tatuus I rayken yore frum Nuu Zeeelearn!"

Me: "Aye. Frum yore aksent, I rayken yore a Captain of a Ship?"

SL: (guffaws) "Nay! Aim frum JeerManie!"

Me: "Shiver me timbers..."

This an actual event.

... this is for you Clus(i)eModo inlight of my 'seriousness' recently.

And to get a headstart on your thoughts and wit....

..it was a straight bar

Two things all I got to say.

One, re tatoos, Tiki's signature says it all!

Two, wagging your furry little tail is going to get you in trouble sooner or later!

As for Tiki's sig, Wolfie - it's the first verse of the 'scare the shit out of my opponents before we've even touched the ball' hakka - - - kind of like a declaration of battle for Maori. Particularly effective recently against the Wallabies . . . :?
(Mrs 'Cluse is a big Blacks fan (Canterbury supporter) and turns up the hakka on our stereo whenever there is a game but refuses to give me the remote comtrol when Les Bleus or the Oz anthem comes up)

Here's the cream of the crop, by far:

That's because Kiwis have a very strange accent. An Aussie friend of mine is fond of saying:

NZ, nice country, silly accent.

Just in case you ever wondered what they were shouting about:

All Blacks Haka

Ka mate, Ka Mate
(It is death, It is death)
Ka ora, Ka ora
(It is life, It is life)
Ka mate, Ka mate
(It is death, It is death)
Ka ora, Ka ora (It is life, It is life)
Tenei Te Tangata Puhuruhuru
(This is the hairy man)
Nana i tiki mai whakawhiti te ra
(who caused the sun to shine again for me)
Upane, Upane
(Up the ladder, Up the ladder)
Upane, Kaupane
(Up to the top)
Whiti te ra
(the sun shines)

:o "This is the hairy man" :o

Refers to either tiki or the blond German would be my guess.
