One thing's for sure, those who make it through and graduate will be the first ever batch of Singapore-based United Airlines flight attendants.

Information above is solely gathered from my personal research in hopes of sharing them with aspiring UA crews. There may be changes or additional information that I may have missed out.
Just to enlighten, UA did recruit SG-based attendants previously. However, due to Sep 11, they encountered some financial woes thus the cutback on recruitment and retrenchment followed. From what i read in UA's website, the company is stabilizing. The fact that they are recruiting and starting SG Base again shows that. A friend of mine used to fly with UA, from what I've heard, she enjoyed her stay there and painted UA as a giving co. Regarding current co. policies on allowances, training etc, let's not speculate as these revolve all the time especially if there is a change in mgmt.

oh Idealist, thanks for the info... I wonder how and where Singapore Grrrrrrrrrl get those fake info about UA flight attendants.. BTW, there is no Singaporean will do anything unless he or get paid, so people will definitely quit during training!! And I once read a book about UA flight attendants and it says crews are given UNIFORM for FREE!!! I think Sg Grrrl get infos which are out-dated...do more homework..

Oops soory about that. I guess I've made a mistake and once again, I apologise. Yes I've heard alot about United Airlines. Probably it's going to be tough only during training with no pay. Well most airlines in the states practice it. But I guess benefits are really good after graduation. It's really a great company actually.

Well, I'm sorry donno, most of my information are given by contacts from the states who are flight attendants of a few airlines there. I only share what I know to the rest. Things may change but definitely not all of them right? Like I've said, if there's any misleading information, I apologise. Someone who knows would definitely post another entry here to correct them. And I try my very best to post any new updated information as soon as I stumble upon them.

By the way, from my latest research, UA uniform costs about US$700 and this is done by payroll deduction; US$25 per paycheck.
