This week's WNDC will be at Loof Bar, one of the new hot drinking place in town.

Definitely a great place where I use to go many times !
I wanted to suggest you to go there

You can ask also to the cab driver : "Odeon Tower"

Nice view, nice drinks but bad snacks

Who cares about snacks ? eating is cheating ...

I've been wanting to check out the place as well. Heard so much hype about it. Reservations are recommended I believe, the last time I wanted to go, they were all fully booked!

Not really recommended only if you want to be seated !
And someties, they have some events (such as during the air show with Boeing).

Just an idea deadpoet (not that you take any of my suggestions to heart...), but why don't you include the prices of drinks in your postings? Would make it much better to decide for those who do care about how much they spend on drinks.

Anybody else think Mona would be a better name? For god's sake, the idea is to meet people. I'm sure everybody can afford to buy one drink and find out the prices for themselves, can;t they?

It seems you have some kind of problem with deadpoet. get over it. He chooses the place and people go or not if and when they feel like it. If the price is so important have one drink less.

Oh and by the way before I get flamed I'm not earning a fortune either but if I want to go out and meet new people once a week I'm sure I (and everyone else) can afford at least one drink.

And if you don;t like his venues, don;t go - simple as that. Organise an alternative. You seemed a reasonable sort of person the couple of times I met you shortly but the constant moaning about the WNDC venues is
tedious.

I hear you Eric. At the WNDC a fortnight ago I spend S$500+ at some bar at the Equinox. Had a great time but damn those drinks ad up quite a bill – happy hour or not.

Since the Dutch and the Scandinavians share the tradition of consuming large quantities of alcohol when enjoying themselves I suggest we team up and share a few bottles of tax free whiskey on the curb outside the Loof Bar.

All the babes in the area will naturally join us as they all love dangerous mysterious tough guys like us with hair on their chests. BTW can I borrow some of yours?

BTW my wife and I can’t join you on Wednesday as we are moving into our new apartment and thus I will be moving furniture all night following my wife’s instructions….. Hell, come to think of it I’ll be moving furniture for the next 30 days…..
