Where to find spare parts for bicycles?

Post by new_in_town » Wed, 29 Sep 2004 5:27 pm

Hi,

does anybody know where I can buy things to fix my bike? (Like brakes, tyre, pedal...)
Best would be in Central.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Where to find bicycle parts

Go to Treknology in Holland Village. It's not in the village itself but is down in the housing estate behind Jelita Cold Storage off Holland Road, just above Holland Village.

They are fantastic there, and we used them for years and years when we were in Singapore.

It used to be called something else before it was called Treknology, but I can't think what. Maybe Cheap Joes or something like that. Can anyone remember what it was called? Damn, this will bug me now.

Not that they only sell cheap things, it's just a 'reasonable' place.

Where to find bicycle parts

Hi

It was Cheap Johns, that's what the shop used to be called. In a semi circle of shops. Go past Jelita on your LHS, turn next left, down about 100 metres and it's in a semi cirle of shops down there.

Directions approximate, I am a woman after all!!!!!!!!!!lololol!!

Dear Bubbles,

thanks for the directions. Since I am a woman as well I can easily follow it. No need to bother with all this turn left turn right when there are so beautiful landmarks all around...

Well, I'll fix my bike and hope not get killed in that traffic here.
Anybody any safety suggestions...?

Cheers

Hey Bubbs.

I am afraid that Cheap John is gone. At least that's what people told me, but maybe I simply did not find the shop.

Anyway I found a wonderful shop close by. It is about 3 Minutes Walk from Buena Vista MRT station. You can actually call them and they pick up your bike and fix it. That's convenient!

Anybody interested, I'll post their contact data-

Hugs to the UK
