Platonic relationships

Post by jag78 » Thu, 27 Oct 2005 2:26 pm

A girlfriend of mine told me her guy friend confessed his feelings for her, this after years of friendship. She doesn't believe now that men and women can ever be friends without romantic attraction complicating the friendship but I think it's possible (?). And where do we draw the line in a platonic relationship? Thoughts anyone? Thanks!

Ahh this old chestnut, can men & women be friends without the guy thinking of anything else?

Who really knows? the guys do, and a gentlemen never speaks of such things 8)

Normally it stays platonic until the woman gives the go ahead for some further investigations on the mans part - For us guys its only normal to think of everywoman as a potential mate unless they are from your own family.

BTW what happened with your friend - Did she give him the thumbs up or are they not alking anymore???

Platonic is a word us men use as an excuse when we're not able to get past 1st base!

So God calls to Adam and says, "Adam, I have some good news and some bad news. What do you want to hear first?"
Adam replies, "The good news."
God answers, "Well, the good news is I gave you a penis and a brain."
Then Adam says, "OK, so what's the bad news?"
And God says, "I only gave you enough blood to operate one at time."

Hi Bafana,
Afraid no thumbs up for that chap as she has a boyfriend. Things got a little weird at first but she thinks everything's normal as they can get...strained of course, but that's a given with the circumstances...
