Posting habits

Post by Wind In My Hair » Sat, 01 Oct 2005 7:02 pm

each time i post i always click the button to read the post, so i can see what it looks like in print. and often i find that i'm not too happy with silly things like punctutation or choice of words, or some afterthought occurs to me that i want to add in. so i end up editing lots of my posts.

i think it's a writer's habit... never happy with the draft, always trying to improve it. and i can't seem to shake that habit on this forum.

is it just me that does this or do some of you do it too?

I am always doing the same thing, no matter what I write I always seem to make spelling mistakes in particular or I feel that I did not get my point across. However, this is what many students do when they are new to writing essays and quite likely when they are well practiced as you are as a writer. Besides it is always a good idea to read what you wrote a mistake I used to make.

Smartass!

Btw, I don't check before I hit the 'submit' button. Vaucluse doesn't either, his typos are in your face all the time!
It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

That's what I always do. And then I get impatient because it sometimes takes so long to reload the page when wanting to edit... :x

I guess I am not so much the smartest editor around, but most definately the most impatient one... :D

Very rarely do I check after submitting. I guess that's also 'cause I don't write essays here. :P
