I'm currently looking for an apartment. I live alone, and I've been considering renting a whole place, but that seems like such a waste. On the other hand, I don't like the idea of sharing a room with someone else. This is really bothering me. Can anyone give me some advice?

There are 1 bedrooms and studio units which can be relatively cheaper depending on the location. Further up locations are usually more affordable. You could also try co-living arrangements from co-living apartments, you have a simple bedroom but shared amenities like bathroom and pantry area.

In Singapore you are supposed to live with your parents until you get married (or even longer).
What about foreigners who don’t have parents living in Singapore? Renting a room is the most common solution — for my first 5 years in Singapore, that’s what I did.

Hard Rock Hotel Sentosa a place for quarantine?

Such a pity..the place is really nice for a short staycation. Now turned into a quarantine location.

That’s the case for many of the nicer hotels. At least we are able to get some use out of them and help to keep the hospitality industry afloat.
