If you're considering renting or buying a unit in the condo across from the mental health hospital, please take time to research potential noise issues before signing a lease—especially if you're looking at higher floors.
Since last year, a large local Chinese family moved into a neighboring unit. Their lifestyle includes leaving their door open throughout the day, frequent loud gatherings, religious singing, and children playing noisily in the hallway. Despite multiple reminders from condo management, the noise levels have not improved. They've made it clear they have no intention of changing, even telling others that anyone who can't tolerate their lifestyle should "go back to their home country."
Unfortunately, daytime noise (or any noise before 10:30 p.m.) is not regulated under current condo rules or other regulations, so residents living nearby or directly below may face ongoing disturbance.
Due to privacy laws, I cannot disclose the exact unit number. However, I strongly encourage prospective tenants—especially those who value peace and quiet—to speak with current residents about potential noise issues before making any commitments. I plan to share more details, such as the floor level, once we move out next year.
