Which, as we have said 1000x if we've said it once, it only shows one thing and one thing only. It shows that they do not need any additions documents. However, anecdotal evidence right here on this board, shows that it only means they don't want or need any more additional docs. it's about 50:50 approval:rejection. The only linkage is that they may be going to make a decisions shortly (but good or bad in unknown. In you case it was good. There was another on here last week that was rejected. so how?

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
I think I posted on an old thread our result. Just sharing our story, hoping to give back to this really helpful forum. Hopefully this helps someone in the future.
So after posting here April 2021 and receiving helpful advice plus additional advice to wait for 2 years more before applying, we still applied with the profile below in May 2021
We didn't wait because we already had the documents and felt like there was no harm trying. We were prepared to be rejected on our first try.
After 10 months, we got our PR application approved
thanks to this forum for the Q&As. Really helpful!
Our pofile
I think being mostly of Chinese descent helped overcome the nationality factor. Maybe having higher degrees also helped.

Husband:
Age: 30
Race: full Chinese (with ancestry proof, Xiamen roots)
Nationality: Philippines
Religion: Catholic
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Married (1.5 years)
Kids: 0 (planning to have 2)
Education: Bachelor's from top PH uni, Master's from top U.S. uni,
Working in Singapore: 2+ Years
Job: Consultant
Annual Salary: 160k+ basic/190k+ with bonus
Total Work Experience: 6 years
Current pass: 2nd EP (renewed Jan 2021)
Wife:
Age: 29
Race: mixed Chinese-Filipino (with ancestry proof, Xiamen roots)
Nationality: Philippines
Religion: Catholic
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Married (1.5 years)
Kids: 0 (planning to have 2)
Education: Master's and Bachelor's from top PH uni (about to start higher degree in SG or Europe Fall 2021)
Length of stay/Working in Singapore: 1 year
Job: Research
Annual Salary: 30k+
Total Work Experience: 5 years
Current Pass: 2nd DP (renewed Jan 2021)
Wondering whether it's better to wait after we have kids or should we apply now since we really can't predict if we will have a kid soon? The wife has PCOS, though we're definitely trying to get pregnant. Not sure also if wife's future higher degree from SG or Europe will matter?
Thank you!

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Wish me luck, I applied again with (hopefully) better profile. Not sure what is my chance now.
Race/Nationality: Vietnamese
Age: 31
Occ: Software engineer
Company: FAANG
Base: 170K+ annual
Last year taxable income: 224K+
Education: VN Bachelor Degree, Master degree in NUS.
Have been working Singapore for 8 years, 5 companies.
Applied with my whole family:
- Wife: Vietnamese - housewife - Public VN Uni degree
- 6 months baby girl
I am going to give (a few) last shots, really want to settle down here. But if it failed again, would consider migrating to other country before my kid go to school.
Anyway, thank you all, especially those the active members in PR threads. I learned a lot from your posts.
Have a nice day, everyone.

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Hi everyone, first time poster who's benefitted immensely from the discussions on this forum, so I thought I'd share my experience as well (as I didn't find too many examples in the forum for someone of a similar profile to myself, so this might be helpful to some future readers).
Details at the time of application
Main applicant: Male 39
Nationality: Malaysian (Indian descent)
Education: Adv.Dip from a UK top-3 uni, UK degree + Masters and pursuing a further UK post-grad course
Pass: EP
Length of stay/Working in Singapore: 3 Years 2 months
Income tax Assessment: 3 times at time of application
Employment/salary: Fintech Risk & Compliance, $140k + stocks & bonuses
Total Work Experience: 16 years
Spouse (also on application): Female, 37
Nationality: Malaysian (Indian descent)
Pass: DP
Education: Australian Degree, + Masters from a top UK uni whilst currently pursuing a second UK Masters program
Length of stay/Working in Singapore: 2 Years
Currently not drawing salary in Singapore due to restrictions with DP, but volunteers with community programs and interns for NGOs.
Married for 1.5 years, no kids.
We applied at end-May 2021, submit documents button disappeared mid Dec-21, and we received our notice of approval on the 1st week of Jan 2022.
Happy to have received our approval as it looks like they are harder to come by (but not impossible) these days. We didn't utilize any agencies and supporting/cover letters (though we did prepare them initially, we never submitted them as there isn't an avenue to submit them through the actual online application form, as previously pointed out on this forum).
Another question I had through this process was whether translation of documents was needed (as some of our documents were only in the Malay language). Some advised us to translate them anyway although Malay is the national language in SG; we chose not to and evidently it wasn't an issue.

I'm guessing that nationality played a big role in catapulting you above the other applicants of the same race. No doubt you tick enough of other boxes as well.radioburn wrote: ↑Fri, 25 Mar 2022 11:09 amHi everyone, first time poster who's benefitted immensely from the discussions on this forum, so I thought I'd share my experience as well (as I didn't find too many examples in the forum for someone of a similar profile to myself, so this might be helpful to some future readers).

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Yeap, I figure the same as well - wasn't sure if our ethnicity would work or against us, so we tried to make sure we did everything else as right as possible (e.g. applying after 1 renewal, 3 tax windows, etc.)smoulder wrote: ↑Fri, 25 Mar 2022 11:31 amI'm guessing that nationality played a big role in catapulting you above the other applicants of the same race. He was running his own business in Australia which he can't do as a DP now adays. so we are hoping if we get PR this will remove the hurdle for him to find local employment.
Can he not move to a LTVP and so get a work permit?
Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Hi
We applied for PR around 7 months back. My 5 year old son's passport had to be renewed two weeks back given it was about to expire. I have just received the new passport. Do I need to inform the ICA on this?

If he was included on the PR application, yes, you should inform ICA.
