Congratulations!

I am very curious, did ICA contact you (via email or telephone) to verify / update your employment details (Payslips, currently employed, etc.) before receiving an approval?

If so, how long after submitting this info did the approve?

Thank you and congrats again.

Hi Daniel,
In my case no further queries were made (i.e. after the initial submission of documents and before the receipt of approval-in-principle) . This might vary from case to case. Not sure if there would be further requests for documentation, as I am only at the first step of formalities to accept.

Hi yesitsme,

When your application is approved in principal, what is the status shown on ienquiry? Approved-in-principal or Pending?

You said your processing time is 2 years is it from the date of documents submission and verification?

Thanks.

Hi streetvendor38,

ienquiry still shows the status as 'pending'. So looks like that's how the system is setup. Sponsored applicant information has all disappeared as well. May be the pending needs to be read as 'pending sgjourney'.

For approval it is `~18 months from document submission.

Thank you and very informative.

I do not want to jinx anything so once I have an outcome I will put up a full post of mine and my families bio details.

Congrats again.

Yes, you must complete the Singapore Journey first before it changes to Approved. After that, you will receive another letter to complete your Singapore Citizenship Registration, must be done within 2 months.

Congratulations :D

btw do you apply for yourself only? Or including your family?
