Hi guys,
I have just recently gotten my SG PR approval. I'm 24 and still in university, and have been born and raised here all my life. I got rejected 3-4 times already, but finally managed to get my PR.
I know that for most people, they must remain a PR for a few years before they consider applying for citizen. Just wondering if it's the same thing for my situation as I have been here all my life, wondering if that affects anything.

The system most probably won't allow you to submit a citizenship application until exactly 2 years after your PR is registered in the system (I guess when they generate your NRIC). That was the case for me.
I don't think the system cares about whether you have been here for 1 or 100 years
Having said that - should you submit your citizenship application right after the 2 year mark? That's probably the question you should be asking. It worked out well for me, but everyone's case is different.

ah I see, thanks for ur reply! that makes sense. I'm currently still a student so I think for me it's minimum one year according to ICA.
how long did it take right after the 2 year mark for you to receive your acceptance?:)

2 years. Unless this applies to you?
"Are a PR studying in Singapore; and have been residing/living in Singapore for more than 3 years (of which, at least one year as a PR); and have passed at least one national exam (i.e. PSLE, GCE ‘N’/‘O’/‘A’ levels), or are in the Integrated Programme (IP)."

It has been 1 year and 4 months for me since my SPR was approved. I just checked ICA website and it shows "You are eligible to apply for Singapore Citizenship" and I could proceed with submitting my application.
Do you guys think it makes sense for me to submit SC application now (considering that the application may take up to 12 months to process)? Or shld I wait until the 2 year mark to apply?

You need to wait for the 2 years to complete, before u submit the SC application. Why the rush?
