u think its difficult going around taiwan without speaking mando? I just got abit freaked out with ppl approaching me and offering to take me around taipei!!! seemed dodgy as Lol...

now I'm paranoid about the taxis too..
It's a challenge, but not impossible. The train stations usually have signs in English. I'd recommend printing/writing (trace the words?) the names of the places you wanna go in both Chinese and English. It's easier to ask for directions that way...I think the younger adults/teens should understand basic English :)

EDIT: I got my cast/stitches removed today! Updated my blog (http://www.missuglynose.blogspot.com) with before after pics! The nose still feels stiff and I kind of don't recognize myself in the mirror, but I'm happy with the nose. I wish I had trusted Dr. Hsu more instead of fretting as I did :)

Hii Missuglynose ! I visited your blog, and thanks ! I wanted to comment, and ask some questions, but since I have no account, I can't do it =x soo ...

Well, let me ask you there, if you mind just a few question =)

You put some interesting links, and I would like to know, about makemeheal , if you use any of their items ? If so, when times will allow you to, can you tell me if you find them efficient =) ?

Otherwise, you're lucky ! You talks chinese and you even have a friend where to stay. In my case, I just don't know yet lol .. well well .. hope I will find a good soluce .. Think it'll be hotels..

Hey guys,
Im currently writing this in the comfort of my kangning apartment room. Just did my nose with Dr KAO few days ago and I'm here to give a recount of my journey.
I've been an avid reader of SG expats forums for years, started doing my research from thailand doctors due to budget constraint as I was only 18.
But after doing much research of the many doctors available in so many countries.
I narrowed down my choices to 2 doctors, Dr Chuang and Dr Kao.

I finally decided on Dr Kao after seeing all the pictures of the work he'd done.
And I'm saying this from the bottom of my heart, this is probably the best decision I've made in my life!

Consultation with him was detailed and personable. He was very patient, very friendly, and the best part of it, he answered my every question. Even my questions on things completely unrelated to nose, like eyes, breasts, veneers. haha.
And he actually took his phone out to call his friend immediately to help me ask about veneers!
He did digital animation immediately to show an example of your nose.
Also, a gf of mine didn't come with pics, on the morn of the op, he actually came with printed pics of celebrities to show my gf some examples. I was very impressed.
I came here with a few of my gfs and all of us did nose, and nose plus eyes.
Even though he's such a busy busy guy, he actually took the time to help clear our noses last night after his operation at about 8plus.
And he's been calling us every day to check on us.
ALL of us have officially 'fallen in love' with DR KAO.
haha

I read your whole blog, wow u pretty much went thru EXACTLY what i wernt thru.. kaka poor u, at least now i know the nurses werent directly trying to hurt me (actually i guess i knew they werent purposely trying to hurt me) you said you start shaking uncontrollably... cuz we had to deal with so many needles, for me.. it was like i as getting hot... and i was starring at my bed feeling dizzy like i was gonna puke+pass out. I hated that feeling. How is your hand? Is your hand ok?

This is a picture of my hand 16 days AFTER the surgury (longest bruised i had in my whole freakin life)

hey guys... ive been getting ppl PMing me and asking me if Rib is painful or not.. my answer is... only if you wear a bra, sneeze, laugh (ohh laughing is the WORSE) or cough..however i dont want u to do rib and then get bad and be like "omg.. u said its tolerantable its freaking HURTS I CANT DO A THING" lol.. everyone's body reacts differently, and like i said on my old posts.. there were some ppl who said "it hurt liek a freak" as for me.. my biggest fear just like a lot of ppl on this thread is also NEEDLES. Not many ppl have mentions the needles yet (or maybe it was wayy back in the posts) but i really suggest reading mine and MissuglyNose blog... to inform you about needles. If needles cant break u down then dont worry about it. But too be honest.. it was the needles that made me think "i dont EVER wanna go through this again" thats why i dont wanna do revision.. i dont wanna deal with that whole process of slow healing + needles again

Oh yeah shiney nose is also the last of your worries :(
your nose is gonna do weird/worse things like
- skin peeling
- skin flaking
- black heads (this is the first time i ever got black heads in my life)
- and yes the ointment did bring white pimples.

what scar cream u guys use? my scar is still here.. im not sure around when the scar will fade.. im guessing 3 months????????? my red side still super obvious when im not wearing makeup

@Loukoum

I didn't use any of the products on Make Me Heal, I mainly browsed their forum as a source of information. Sorry I can't be of much help there! :)

@Blissful09
OMG the bruise on your hand was quite bad! Mine were a yellowish green at their worst. I think the 蜈蚣草 ("wu gong cao") really helped a lot with the bruising, because for both my surgeries, the swelling/bruising was actually quite minimal.

I also got that hot/dizzy feeling later on when they inserted the drip, but I thought it was the medication...hmm..

The sides of my nose started peeling after I took a shower last night. I already expected the blackheads, so I bought the St. Clare blackhead treatment even before the surgery. I need to check with Dr. Hsu when I can start going for facials again, lol :D

As for shininess, mine seems fine though. Maybe cos I didn't get a lot of height added?

missugly nose r u gonna do the steriod injection at your nose tip? can u tell me if it hurts? I refused to take it at that time.. cuz i was scared of pain and i also scared of side effects.

oh lol u think thats bad? U should have seen the 2nd week my hand looked after they remove the needle from my hand.
I really thought it was gonna disappear fast but when i released my middle finger would have like ...cramps? (it feel tight and pulled if i move it) i decided to take photo of my hand just in case something was wrong...
but its completely healed now it fully healed recently tho (1 month and 4 days to heal) but the needle hole/dot is still show on my hand..looks like misquito bite lol.

蜈蚣草??? is it a drink? can i buy it from ebay? is it too late to drink that for my nose?

Hi all,

just to ask.

say if you have friends who hasnt seen you in about a year, do you think they`ll notice that you had your nose done when your family members didnt notice a thing?

will a change of hairstyle + overall image help?

From what I can remember, I haven't read that many posts that expressed interest in breasts augmentation here. I guess people here are just less interested in that procedure.
