My relative had an unfortunate near-death experience due to his hernia surgery done by Dr redacted by mods at NUH. Dr performed a keyhole surgery and perforated his intestines with the mesh. He went back to hospital twice within a couple of days after the surgery as he couldn't urinate or pass motion and was feeling extremely bloated. However, during those two visits, the doctors (including Dr redacted) misdiagnosed it as constipation and sent him back home. As he was in dire pain, he decided to seek opinion from another doctor from another hospital who accurately diagnosed the issue and then did an emergency surgery to remove the wastes in the body and repaired the intestines. Then one year later, he had to undergo another hernia surgery due to the first failed surgery by Dr. Due to this mishap caused by Dr and the misdiagnosis by the subsequent two doctors, my relative was laden with a $210k bill and had to borrow heavily to pay for the bill even at his old age. Well, the best part is that hospital refused any responsibility! So, please choose your doctors wisely.
