I have an query regarding my Employment pass in Singapore.
My current EP with existing employer CORP1(Hidden the company name) is expiring on 15th April 2025.
I have signed an offer with new company CORP2(Hidden the company name) and EP is already approved.
My current employer is not yet initiated the EP renewal process. I do not have an interest to work with existing employer anymore and also updated them not to initiate the EP renewal. Since my notice period is 3months, they are asking me to serve the full notice period as per the exit process. My queries are
1. Will my current employer has an option to initiate the EP renewal while the new EP from other employer is already in approved state.
2. Will my current employer has an option to extend the EP validity temporarily (likely 1or 2months) under any circumstances without initiating the EP renewal.
