Renunciation of Singapore Citizenship

Post by Rev Kim Teck Goh » Thu, 11 Dec 2008 3:12 pm

I wonder if anyone can help me with my application for my renunciation of my Singapore citizenship. I left Singapore 41 years ago and have lost my birth certificate, identity card and passport since 1974 and therefore I am unable to provide those documents to the Singapore High Commission in the United Kingdom. I am a British citizen citizen.

Thank you, KimGoh

Not sure where to start. Where are you a citizen now?

TO renounce, you first need your Birth Cert.
Without that, very hard. You might need to pop in to get a copy of your birth cert.

Not sure why you want to do it now. But if you have some problem with the law then, getting foreign citizenship and renouncing Sg citizenship will not nullify that problem if you go back to Sg.
I work to live and not live to work.
