Think should not be a problem. As long as you are not overweight, things should be fine. :D

as long as you are below 40, i think you are consider young to apply for jobs...most apply for it when we are still young so it is not surprising you are older than the others

Hi Everyone!

This is my first time posting in this forum. I have the same question as tazza. I have been trying for SIA since last year and the furthest I've made through is the wtc stage this year.

I got married last year june (ROM, not yet traditional) due to my hubby is training overseas in perth as cadet pilot under SIA cargo... would not be back till next year. The reason that I am posting this is that would like to ask is there anyone who is currently udergoing training now with married batch mates? Course i don't seem to get through Round one interview for the previous two rounds of recruitments.

Was wondering if there is any hidden criteria as to this... cause i can understand tat they wouldn't want their newly trained cabin crew to get pregnant... which is not an issue to me cause we are not staying together yet and further more he is overseas. just want to verify with those who really knows.
Would appreciate the help, cause i seriously want this to be my career.
Thanks a million!

according to my friend, they did state in the contract that new cabin crew are not to become pregnant within the initial contract, if not will result in immediate termination. i'm not sure if it still holds, since she signed her initial contract about 2 to 3 years ago though!

Guest SIA wrote:I've been for the SIA recruitment and got through the first round and also through the 2nd round and now am a flight steward. For the Ladies, it's kind of difficult getting in because the number of ladies applying is saturating. So, the management has to scrutinise the applicants in terms of height, capability, education qualifications, grooming standards, etc. So, you should develop more on these. This crew job IS a profession as under the job occupation, you're considered a professional. You can work in SIA as a cabin crew for as long as 20 years. After that, maybe as a Cabin crew Management team who flies but checks on the flight attendants instead. So, you are still flying and get paid but in a more higher post. Cabin Crew job is highly valued when entering other professions like nursing, physiotherapy, and other hospitality-related courses. Don't be disheartened ladies. Try to go for any interviews, grab as many as u can. Be it JAL, EK, SIA, or SilkAir, just go for the interview to have a feel of it so as to feel confident. All the best to you ladies and also to all the guys out there, it's Really a High-Flying Job guys, the ladies are Wif you....haha...;)

i feel competition is high for the woman...woman really like cabin crew meh?
