But O'level should be also at least better or higher than O'level?

It is highly advisable to go for the interview with the stated educational requirements, or you might just be disappointed when you get turned away!

@fathileo

I went for the 4 Aug interview and got the call on 13 aug. Kinda surprised it didn't take that long. I'm going to sign the contract at SIA on 20 sep! Did you get the call?

I just went for Jetstar's interview & was unsuccessful. Kinda sad. Do SIA take in peeps with 'N' levels? Any idea?

I'm afraid SIA doesn't take / recognise N levels or higher nitec. Minimum education is O levels.

But in terms of education status, I suppose higher nitec is the better among N and O, firstly Higher Nitec they have a relevant skills that they learn in ITE.Secondly, some of the Higher Nitec holder are O' cert holder as well , definitely Higher Nitec holder are better than O'level holder's.

However for SIA, they have set their minimum criteria as O levels. :( there were people whom went for the walk in interview with higher nitec certs, but were sent home on the spot when queueing, even before they could get into stage one.

Well , that a sad thing that they do not treasure talent from Higher Nitec.

@ noizi

went on 4 aug, got call on 13 aug, contract on 20 sep, starts training on 24 sep right?
i shouldnt have declared anything during medical else we might be batchmates!

gaahhhh i hope they'll call within this week..

Anyway,
to those who are in doubt about the qualifications,
save the trouble of trying out in the interview if you dont have the minimum requirement.

despite how things were like previously, if you happen to know anyone who got through although they were lacking of the education, as of the last interview on 4th aug, they'll only entertain those who meet the requirement.

@ jeff

during medical stage, they'll check our height and weight, eyesight, some typical checks by their doctor when you usually visit the polyclinic and imptly, an xray test.

@ jayy

they dont care what diploma you take.
as long as its a completed diploma, best preferably from local institutions and not private diplomas (to be safe).

they dont even care what grades you get either.
so long as you have the certificate of completion of diploma.
thats the least minimum criteria.
