Allow Photo / video Permission on apps

Post by abbby » Thu, 10 Oct 2024 12:45 pm

Is this dangerous to share our photos and videos on the apps for permission?
I always have this insecure feeling they steal your data?

I’d be cautious. Experience shows you can’t always be sure your data is securely stored. Your information might even be saved on servers in countries where you wouldn’t trust the government. With rising global tensions, hacker groups are becoming more active, as shown in this recent news - https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/s ... ion-users/. I checked my email on HIBP and found it was part of a breach involving Deezer, a company I thought was trustworthy. The risks are real, so it’s important to stay vigilant.
