Hi all, first post here and new to Singapore from about a month ago.
Where I lived before I was being followed for a range of complicated health conditions (autonomic issues and nerve pain due to neurological problems).
One of the options discussed with a doctor I know in London to treat nerve pain was low dose Naltrexone which seems to be a miracle help for many who experience chronic pain. I have been ambivalent about trying it until recently, but the nerve pain is flaring up again and I want to give it a go next month.
I have googled it and haven't found any information as to whether LDN is prescribed / available in Singapore or how to get it if not. Can someone shed some light on this please?
overall I would say the health situation is pretty stressful here. For example, I saw a GP to refill a prescription of heart medication which had been prescribed 'off label' (for plain tachycardia instead of 'heart failure' apparently when the GP googled it) and he said he would not refill prescription and that I would need to see a cardio... so I'm now wondering what if cardio disagrees and I need to fly back to London over the weekend just to get a refill...
Anyway health issues are stressful enough, and this is turning out to be the most stressful part of my move so far. I am unsure what to do. I had found a doctor I knew and trusted before which I never pondered on how important and difficult that is.
