Wait for this one! After an email from me to them yesterday describing their very bad customer service(cos nobody called me despite their promise), they phoned me- today, when they're closed- it's Sunday!!

Wonders will never cease. Yeah I reckon they're watching this forum.
Hey SP services, if you're reading this- thanks! I now give you the Ozchick stamp of approval!

3 times!!! Woah I had a fit the other day that mine had climbed to S$150 a month.

I only use the aircon at night but have several computers on all day and throughout the evenings.
Don't p*ss me off! I am running out of places to hide the bodies.

RNT, are you growing cannabis in your black and white? S$1500/month is a lot of electricity!!!

Yes it is...

We mostly only run the air/cons at night as well -- but there are 6 of us. I'll run one or two for an hour or so during the day to dry things out a bit.

We use the dryer a lot as well, but also hang dry as much as we can, probably 2/3 of the laundry is air-dried. Two big refrigerators, dehumidifiers -- it all adds up.

Lights, water heaters are all used sparingly -- we have neighbors that have 6 or 8 flood lights on all night. :o

You really need to stop re-filling that 50m swimming pool in your back garden every week!

$1500 how? :-k

Actually, I guess it's more like $1,200 or 1,300.

It's not that hard, leave poor RNT alone. Ours is way over $500 a month, more like about $900 or so, and their guestimates are always useless. I don't have any aircons on during the day unless for specific purposes and at night only to cool two bedrooms down for a few hours, then it is just fans. It all adds up when there a few people using everything.

Unfortunately i just got our bill, estimated to November 12th and it's about $300, higher than the previous month of course.

Problem is that between October 10th and November 12th i was probably at home for only 4-5 days with various trips being taken into account. For the past 6-months my meters have been read, and the one month i happen to spend away they give me an estimate :x

If it doesn't go down to nearly zero next month, after basically pre-paying 1-month the SP will get a right rocket!

If as Ozchick thinks, you are reading this site SP...... be warned, Scooby is not a happy bunny and i'm preparing for a fight!

Worse still is your justification for basing tariffs on 3-Month Futures Oil Prices when most is generated from GAS.

My housemate is the same (except for the water) he has the a/c on all night and does 1/2 loads in the washing machine and then uses the dryer for 2 hours to dry them! But I've decided that if those are his only vices - he is quiet, clean, responsible and considerate - I'll chip in a bit extra...

Ah one thing I don't miss about Singapore, high power bills! Got last month's power bill for my flat here in Shanghai - RMB55, or about S$12.50!

Also very useful information! Shouldn't there be a bit of relief coming through in Q1 next year, with the price of oil plummeting recently?
