the hassle and pain of getting it .. and also i was betting that it will not be implemented in time. So.. now all good!

While they have put in a delay I do believe this VEP will eventually "stick".
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.

They do seem more serious about it this time around. I have often seen the signs about VEP when driving across the border, but simply ignored them, even when crossing this year. I always figured there would be a major hoo-ha if they actually started enforcing it. I also noticed that “regulars” who cross now tend to have VEP on their vehicles, just to play safe. Probably scared that M’sia will pull a fast one on them and kena fine… that is always possible.
