Nespresso frother

Post by abbby » Fri, 02 Aug 2024 9:07 pm

Does anyone here use a Nespresso frother (aerocinno if I am not wrong) and it spoils after a while of use..mine has spoilt after a short 2 years of use, I know Nespresso coffee machines are very robust and durable. Just wondering could it had been my helper washing the base (where the electronic is) causing it to spoil..

I have never owned a coffee machine, but I do have a story to share, for what it’s worth...

About 10 years ago I started making coffee at home using a French press, but several years later it broke and after considering a new one, I stopped and thought: the verb press is actually meaningless in the process of making coffee, it’s just getting strained. So I decided to try making coffee the same way I make tea, by letting it steep and then passing it through an ultra fine strainer (the kind used to skim soup). I was amazed at the first cup, it was even better than the one out of my French press. And, in case you are wondering, yes, I also “tarik” my coffee after mixing in some sweetened condensed milk, this cools it off and adds a nice froth. For me at least, it’s way better than anything out of a machine, it costs almost nothing and uses no power. I feel like I’m better prepared to retire in an atap house in the jungle.

Wow what a great way to make good coffee without the use of machines, I hate machines as they break down and requires maintenance and lots of cleaning.

Do you have any way to make a nice cappuccino without using a machine or creating a self froth? I've been spending way too much for cappuccino at the cafes..

I have never attempted it, but I imagine the same principles would apply except the coffee to water ratio would be substantially different - and for the frothed milk, I imagine a thin layer of milk in the bottom of a pan on high heat, and maybe a whisk to keep it from burning ought to do the trick. Sometimes you just have to try — nobody taught me the method I’m using now… nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Reminds me of "camp coffee". Water and coffee grounds in a saucepan, heated over the fire until it just boiled, then simmered for a few minutes. Strained through a napkin or paper towel. Yum!

Sounds like the trending drip coffee that's very popular now
