Stuff to do in Singapore

While I was out today, I picked up a flyer from one of those stands in the mall.

The flyer sounds promising '3hr hands-on cultural cooking classes'. The flyer also sports the 'Singapore Experience Awards' logo, and the Tripadvisor logo, with them suggesting they're rated on the latter as a 'Top activity to do in Singapore'.

I haven't looked at their site as I'm a bit busy (arguing with someone on another forum lol /jk ).... but hopefully their www will help join the dots on another option for you to consider.

Singapore is the pre-school with one nanny per four children, JB is the high-school which requires kids to walk 2km on their own. Hardly dangerous, but when you're only hearing about it from the four year olds around you...

Sorry, the analogy is meant to mean that locals are extremely sheltered and as such have no street sense. Malaysia is no worse than your average western country. Good parts and bad parts. Don't give dirty looks to the gentlemen with tattoos and gold chains, and don't walk down a dark alley alone while drunk. Otherwise, it's fine.

My dad really liked the Peranakan Museum and the Buddha Tooth Temple. We're in the same boat when he visits so I'm trying to think what else as well.

Singapore will be lovely for a stopover, so much to see and do..
I think that most nice hotels are not reasonably priced though..
If you look online first at the recommended links given you already, perhaps you can find a promotion.. anything around Orchard Road will have you in a good central and convenient location to explore wonderful Singapore .. once you are there you it will be easy to see your many options for sightseeing and things to do..

It matters naught where you have the hotel located. Nothing is within walking distance and it's too damned hot to walk far anyway. Therefore taxi's are your friend and if you have the time use the MRT and buses are even more friendly. Get out of downtown/Orchard area as after one day down there you will have had enough. Only locals are simple-minded enough to go down there every weekend (little imagination).
