Can't say I've seen a BMW taxi here before.

p.s. Many years ago in London I had a colleague who had a BMW 3 series as a company car. One day HR called him in and asked him he'd clocked up 100k miles in a year and how at it's annual service the car appeared half-thrashed.

Turns out he'd leased it on privately to a minicab company!! lol
We have a 'fleet' of private drivers are our company to shuttle higher-ups between the various buildings across the Bay Area (some are quite spread out). Apparently a lot of them moonlight as Uber drivers as there can be hours between real 'jobs'.

Doesn't surprise me.
I even came to find you could at times hitch-hike limos across Manhattan. Just stick out your thumb 'I wanna go 20/30 blocks downtown, yeah?'. Bored drivers cruising around would sometimes be happy to take you, at the end tip them $10, done.

Wouldn't try it now. But as a youngster it definitely and to a surprising extent worked!
