Re: VISA - EXIT DAY IS COUNTED?

I guess you can. I am only relaying a personal experience. Perhaps you can do some research and perform queries with a variety of immigration services. PS: You are not "legally resident". You are visiting. You could visit two places in one day. Look at it this way: You are an immigration officer. Th...

I would say $40K+ in a condo is comfortable.
Why did you reply to a 3 years old thread?
With a completely erroneous conclusion... unless he was referring to $40K per month.

Re: VISA - EXIT DAY IS COUNTED?

The day is counted, and yes, that seems to be the case in most places. Can confirm for Thailand as the wife got into hot water with 93 days in a six month period. Telling them she was flying in/out on days didn't work, they still counted them.

I judge that going fully digital is allowing them to do a deeper vetting process. Going digital makes it easier to keep records but doesn't shorten any investigative process.

Sharon, if you don't know what you are doing, it would be wise to either find a good reference book or engage a secretary/CPA. All things must be properly done... the creation of a resolution, the handling of a resolution at a meeting... and all must be kept in your company's records. Here is how m...

Read my posts about foreigners trying to get employment passes coming in cold. It will be very difficult for you to do.

Re: Fixed Deposit

bank stocks are relatively safe bets right? At 4% is really a good deal. Bank stocks (or any stocks) are not a "safe bet". With a savings account, unless the bank goes bankrupt, you are guaranteed to have your money returned, plus interest, no matter how little that is. The stock share price fluctu...

If someone else is paying for your shipping, then perhaps you'll want bring your stuff over. Otherwise, it can get very expensive. A large home, taking up a full container, can cost $20,000 or more.

Annual burning of rain forest in Indonesia to make way for yet more palm oil plantations. Government says they will stop it but never do because of deep and endemic corruption at every level.

Re: Separate arrival EP/DP

There are hundreds of threads in the business and career sections about what it takes for an expat to start/move a business to Singapore and live/work legally. An Entrepass will be quite rare. Hi there! I see you've moved to my lovely country, Singapore. I hope you're having a good time here and you...

Re: PR pending to LTVP

This isn't your company. Someone else owns it and they hired you. This is an arm's length transaction and is completely different from you forming your own pte ltd, then attempting to work for it. Consider: In this company there are already active citizens, PR's, or EP's who are in a role that would...

Re: Accounting Services

"Vicky Perkin" is yet another poster with a Vietnamese IP address.

The mods left her post alone because it looks like she might be wanting to try a career in Singapore.

However, it's safe to say that I don't know many Vietnamese named vicky perkin, and the chances are good that it's a scam post.
