Re: new coca cola ad featuring Sg migrant workers + cool drone

7 years on. Thanks to what looks like a spammer bumping up this post, I looked in at the original YouTube video to see how many people have viewed it. After all, it's impact would be judged on that basis. Less views = less impact and would validate the skepticism by some in this post. Turns out that...

True caller does a fairly decent job assuming that the number is in their database and flagged for spam.
Is it free?
Free version has worked OK for me so far.

I was always under the impression that Pakistanis, Sri Lankans and Bangladeshis were all classified as Indians. What does it say on your ID card?

Re: Singapore Citizenship approved after 32 months

Did you get a huge pay increment? I think SF did mention based on your earlier pay that your salary is on the lower side. Then again, whether changing jobs tipped the scales in your favor…we won’t know either 60k for a 28 year old isn't too shabby is it? 60k for a 28 year old generally? pretty good...

Re: Singapore Citizenship approved after 32 months

Thank you! I thought so too based on the duration, but there was the election, and lockdown in between so I'm not really sure. They asked me for updated employment details cos I switched jobs in between. I had dropped them an email on that like a year before, and they were verifying it I guess. Did...

Hi, I'm looking for similar things. I need a space to run some servers. The noise level is a little bit higher than usual, so I don't want to break the quietness of my living room. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Re: Where will you retire?

I have a lot of friends from India who always think they will retire in India… but as time goes on, they often think twice. Haha yes agree but it depends on what they've got back home and which province they come from. SP786, I hear that. My Son-in-Law's parents are like myself, inasmuch as we are ...

Does he work overseas with a Singapore salary credited in Singapore and a CPF contribution or is it for an entity that pays him overseas?

Re: PR Approval Chances in 2021

Ceca people spill over beyond cecaland. So as a Ceca i say another PR aspiring Ceca should rethink. The group is seeing cecaland people as threat due to worldwide equal population and penetration into various markets. So ceca people got 2 choices 1. Think about self and leave to better places 2. Ho...

Re: LTVP for foreign spouse if SC spouse hasn't earned any income in the past 5 years?

And most of the numbers are made up by those of Chinese ethnicity, primarily from Malaysia. And that’s where we don’t have specific data about… It’s all guesswork as they will never release the breakdown by nationalities. Even Shanmugam said in this article that “a large number of the PRs come from...

Re: LTVP for foreign spouse if SC spouse hasn't earned any income in the past 5 years?

^ Because a huge percentage of PRs are given to people from SEA countries, next is non-SEA (but still within Asia) countries, then lastly with the smallest number is the rest of the world aka outside Asia. See Table 18 on page 27 for the 2019 data. Now with regards to LTVP, I personally feel they w...

Re: New Employer not cancelling EP/IPA

So this is what it sounds like to me. You are on contract with company A, a body shopping agency. They are your current employers. They contract you to work for company B where you want to work as a permanent employee. You applied for a job with company C who I suspect is also a body shopping agency...

Re: New Employer not cancelling EP/IPA

1. I signed a contract with new employer and the EP and IPA has been issued and approved. 2. My current employer is now retaining me with a permanent position which i want to continue. These 2 statements contradict each other. You cannot have an EP approved via a new employer without canceling the ...
