Re: Where will you retire?

India obvious choice for me. In sinkie terms eh ceca retire in cecaland leh I have a lot of friends from India who always think they will retire in India… but as time goes on, they often think twice. I believe the major reasons would be : 1. Kids growing up outside India makes it harder for them to...

After all ceca has resulted in 70 billion dollar investment in singapore.
The average Singaporean isn't really thinking about the amount of investment opportunities that CECA resulted in. Because he's not got his hand on it.

Re: Where will you retire?

Singapore. We have our own apartment. Insurance policies are all Singapore ones. My wife was formerly Malaysian so it would be quite ironic if she was to move to Malaysia on an MM2H visa after letting go of her Malaysian passport! By the way, about MM2H, they have revently revised the requirements ...

Re: LTVP for foreign spouse if SC spouse hasn't earned any income in the past 5 years?

Also wondering if ethnicity plays a factor in LTVP application approvals as they do in PR/SC application approvals as my spouse is not Asian/white/an ethnicity that the SG government seems to deem as more easily integrable? Not sure what you mean by this. Asian isn't a racial classification in Sing...

Re: PR Approval Chances in 2021

This!^^^^^^^ Thanks, observer! This is what we've been trying to hammer into the dunderheads on here for years. We've known about it, it is common knowledge with regard to immigration for PR & SGC. It was also spoken about in parliament last year as well. Singaporeans don't get it and apparently th...

Re: PR Approved 2021

Applying under spouse, son is not PR Then, the next question would be, are you applying together with your son, or just only you alone? If both are applying, the most probably your family need to improve on the financial stability factor. If only you is applying, then most probably the gahmen is hi...

Re: Has anyone been vaccinated with Sinopharm ?

sorry but don't get it why wouldn't you just go to get the free Pfizer shots? I assume you are a legal resident here, and therefore you can just walk in to get the shots: https://www.moh.gov.sg/news-highlights/details/no-appointment-needed-at-pfizer-biontech-comirnaty-vaccination-centres "NO APPOIN...

Re: PR Approval Chances in 2021

I think you missed my point - in a job interview, especially when it comes to stuff related to motivation and commitment, people up a facade /or just lie. As an employer, it's never an exact science to figure out just what kind of an employee you are bringing in when you consider parameters which ar...

Re: PR Approval Chances in 2021

Most aspiring applicants were much focused on highlighting one's economic contributions, qualifications, age, family profile and length of residency; but rarely touches on one's ability to contribute to Singapore and integrate into the society, as well as his or her commitment to sinking roots. How...

Re: Criteria for approval SPR/SC

Just saying, but as a spouse of an Indian citizen, you can apply for a visa called "overseas citizen of India" aka oci. Look it up. Should be quite useful even if you don't lose your jobs. I'm planning to get it for my wife and daughter. What are the benefits as long as I am not going to live and w...

Re: SC for adopted child

What does the Singapore BC say regards her nationality? Are you (as an SC) listed as her father on the new BC? You may have to apply for a DP extension. I assume you used a lawyer so speak to him as well. The Singapore birth certificate will have a line stating "the child is not a citizen of Singap...

Re: Criteria for approval SPR/SC

To me, and I would hazard a guess, most of the long-term regulars on this board will concur, it does appear that applying in less than an year does have the pong of desperation in it. This, if I were an ICA officer, would get my spidey senses aroused as to why. Were they afraid of losing their job ...
