Re: Losing 8kg in 3 months?

The mentioned cauliflower rice is probably as close as it gets. (White) rice is too easy to digest, so it converts well to simple sugars contributing to the problems. And it’s easy to make as well. Just put cooked cauliflower into a food processor and blitz. Or just buy ready: https://www.amazon.sg...

Re: Losing 8kg in 3 months?

Carbs in general, actually. I’ve swapped out my rice for cauliflower rice. It’s not quite the same, but nothing good comes without sacrifice. Yes, but rice is treacherous. There are studies suggesting links with high risk of diabetes (and some other diseases) with consumption of rice in SEA. Really...

Re: Need advise on PR application

You are likely to fail because you are married for short time, so don't hold your breath but look for another job. Wait till you get one and not sooner than 1 year after you got married. What is your race?

Re: internet/ network/wifi issues

What issues? The simplest way to determine if you are having wifi propagation issues is to buy a long CAT5e cable and plug your router directly into the device with which you are having issues. If they go away, you know you have to deal with signal propagation issues. Wow, that seems like it would ...

Re: Impulse purchase

Thanks. My view is, it is all relative to our own expectations of what we want from life. There will always be something out there that we can experience, but we haven't experienced. For example, you can go to Peru to see Machu picchu. Or Africa to see the wild life safari. In the end we will not b...

Re: How to get Sinovac?

I don't see anybody in this thread saying that Sinovac is useless. The main point discussed here as far as I could tell is why to chose Sinovac if one can get Moderna or Pfizer.

Re: Online storage for photos/videos

Have any of you tried pcloud? any feedback? Planning to get the lifetime subscription in it What extra value do you see in it as compared to some more popular services (dropboxes, onedrives and such)? Personally I don't trust "lifetime" subscriptions. Nothing more ephemeral in this world than servi...

Re: Impulse purchase

We are absolutely not missing out on anything! It is myth that you need to spend a lot of money to be happy. I will give you an example of what happened yesterday: My wife yesterday evening said, lets order food. I asked her is pizza okay? She said ok. There is a pizza hut 2kms away. So took my bic...

I actually believe I saw 'Seagate' on a building recently.
They opened an R&D center in Ayer Rajah cluster just few years ago. Not sure about manufacturing.

Re: Reopening is too slow

I read the same article a few minutes ago. I agree that things are way too slow. My personal observation is that people here are also very fearful. When you compare the numbers of new infections this year with what we had at the start of the pandemic, you'll find that it was way more then. Yet, I s...
