Re: Couple that ran off with $32m

You need protection though. That means having a connection to someone powerful or you just become a constant target for blackmailing.

The Great Train Robbers had that problem.

Re: Couple that ran off with $32m

Nah Carlos had a passport country that welcomes his return to (although I suppose the woman has Thai citizenship and maybe is safe once she gets back there). Anyways I'm sure they'll pop up soon enough. It does appear though that if they can get into Thailand they may be able to hide long term (see ...

Re: Couple that ran off with $32m

Total agree, how could one live without an ID and be able to also walk normally on the street and lead a normal life. It's really just a matter of time they get caught. But in the first place, how could driver be caught but not the fugitives... I think ICA were requested to go back through their re...

Re: Couple that ran off with $32m

The rumours are that they got unto Thailand but I find that doubtful unless they were smuggled into Thailand. It is not easy in either country to live without ID and if they show ID they are dead. I guess they must have access to money via nominee accounts but those nominees will be stealing the mon...

Re: Couple that ran off with $32m

I doubt they got away with much. Everything was debt from what I could tell. I'm sure some of it will be recovered. Imagine trying to live a life as fugitives in this day and age? Biometric and facial recognition.... and now they are a target for every blackmailer.

Re: Adoption

I've heard anecdotally that it is very hard for American / Australian to adopt inside Thailand. Not sure if it applies for your route.

I think you can use a TnG app on your phone with NFC as well. That is what I've been told.
Yes, but only the new “enhanced” TnG card, which scalpers are selling online.

They are sold out from official sources.
You can't use a phone directly on the readers at the toll booths?

Re: Age limit for National Service as a PR

Hi Sunday morning stable and PNGMK Thanks for your reply. I understand i can expect a waiver if i get a PR through the family scheme above 40 years old with kids. I got one at 29 with no kids. Waivers for PR are standard. No men in green are going to come and snatch you at midnight and send you off...
