Re: Any fresh graduates has their EP rejected this year?

They, like M'sians, have a special codicil what allows them the get EP at a reduced salary similar to what M'sians get when applying for EP. MD, quite a few as that's how the universities float their boat with foreign students (always been a large number as long as I can remember). I reckon the vast...

Re: Citizenship Approval chances for Msian Chinese

I'd only give her a 30~40% chance as her US employment is 'indefinite'. Usually it's okay if for a fixed period of a couple of years, but if she is on a US working visa, the odds of her also applying for a Green Card are high. I'm sure if they know she is there indefinitely, it will certainly impact...

Re: Where will you retire?

I wouldn't want to live there or even spend a whole vacation there, but, as noted, it was the novelty considering where you were.

Re: Covid situation not looking so good?

Well, as long as they are giving out free booster shots, I'll be in line (although I got my first booster day after registering for it. (I got the SMS the 1st day at 11 am and got the booster on day after at 10:30 am. I'm not 80 but at 74 why take chances (or should I say, take the option with the l...

Re: Where will you retire?

What I do recall nearby club med there was like this a hippie kampong village place where a bunch of backpackers were staying. I was digging the place… but the wife not so much. [-X Yeah, that was the area I used to hang out at during the weekends. It was backpacker's paradise as well, even t...

Re: Where will you retire?

Mal, I have to agree with you on Kuantan. I worked in Chukai, 70 km north of Kuantan for a number of months between June & Oct 1993 when I worked in the Seismic Survey Industry. Being the shore based administrator I had plenty of time to explore the surrounding areas and beaches. My local agent ther...

The spike is because of the ramping up of the various testing regimes picking up even asymptomatic cases with ART and the others. AND Delta.
Makes sense, perhaps the number of cases aren’t actually rising, just that the number of reported cases are.
Spot on, Lisa.

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021

Honestly? Not going to be easy. However, my gut says why not try at least once. Working in a Gov't agency. and for 3 years the salary seems to be within an okay range. As noted by yourself, ethnicity/nationality might be the biggest stumbling block as you are going to be tossed in the 7.5% 'I' group...

Re: Cold Feet after IPA for PR

Are the two boys on the IPA as well? This guy is really taking a gamble then. You are right. I assume they are DP on the EP and not LTVP on the mother's PR? Is she the birth mother? Or was the kids kept off deliberately due to the NS issue. The way I see it, the kids almost have to have been on the ...

Re: Repairs

Any reason why the leakage was allowed to continue for 6 months before doing something about it? Your put it off or the owner refused to do anything?
