Re: The Eagles are going to land on the 8th of March

So everyone is invited? Are we all "Eagles"? Last two posts contradict each other. If it's a moderators only meeting, why not create subforum that only moderators can access? Who, besides you, said this is a moderators only meeting? You seem to be a rather truculent sort of chap. Any chance I previ...

@tiktok - Just show up. That's why the location, date, and time are posted publicly. How do you suppose folks meet/met one another? How did you get the idea that it's a closed invitation when it's posted on a public board?

Re: VISA - EXIT DAY IS COUNTED?

another thought ........ you could therefore be tax resident (>183 days, depending upon jurisdiction ) in 2 countries by virtue of exit and entry being counted twice, so to speak No, not really. You are mixing up a tourist visa and a permanent resident visa. For example, you cannot claim tax reside...

Re: VISA - EXIT DAY IS COUNTED?

I guess you can. I am only relaying a personal experience. Perhaps you can do some research and perform queries with a variety of immigration services. PS: You are not "legally resident". You are visiting. You could visit two places in one day. Look at it this way: You are an immigration officer. Th...

I would say $40K+ in a condo is comfortable.
Why did you reply to a 3 years old thread?
With a completely erroneous conclusion... unless he was referring to $40K per month.

Re: VISA - EXIT DAY IS COUNTED?

The day is counted, and yes, that seems to be the case in most places. Can confirm for Thailand as the wife got into hot water with 93 days in a six month period. Telling them she was flying in/out on days didn't work, they still counted them.

I judge that going fully digital is allowing them to do a deeper vetting process. Going digital makes it easier to keep records but doesn't shorten any investigative process.

Sharon, if you don't know what you are doing, it would be wise to either find a good reference book or engage a secretary/CPA. All things must be properly done... the creation of a resolution, the handling of a resolution at a meeting... and all must be kept in your company's records. Here is how m...

Re: Fixed Deposit

bank stocks are relatively safe bets right? At 4% is really a good deal. Bank stocks (or any stocks) are not a "safe bet". With a savings account, unless the bank goes bankrupt, you are guaranteed to have your money returned, plus interest, no matter how little that is. The stock share price fluctu...

If someone else is paying for your shipping, then perhaps you'll want bring your stuff over. Otherwise, it can get very expensive. A large home, taking up a full container, can cost $20,000 or more.
