Citizenship and adoption

First some background. I'm 40, from India, my wife is 41, a naturalized Singaporean Chinese, originally from Malaysia. I've been here for about 7 and a half years. We are in the process of adopting a child who will take up Singapore citizenship (she currently holds a Malaysian passport). Most likely...

Re: PR chances and when to apply guidance please?

Very low. You'll end up in the "others" bucket I fear (which is marginally better than the "Indian" bucket). I guess your agent is trying to claim you have tied to Singapore already but that's pushing it IMHO. Your agent is right about age being an issue as Singapore wants breeders, not pensioners....

Re: Chance to obtain a PR as a single French 33 years old, 4 years under EP.

Well I decided to go ahead and apply a few weeks ago. I know my chances are V low. Are these friends of a similar age or are they older? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Similar age to you but different ethnicities. I would say just looking at your profile you probably have a low chance of gettin...

Re: PR approval in 2019

If he applied 2 years after joining a company here, unless he joined that company on 1 January, he would have had 3 tax assessments, add the fact that he is a Malaysian Indian, not a one from the motherland, means he also is easily assimilated into Singapore culture as well and he would naturally t...

Re: Kid born overseas for SG Parents

I don't think you have another option but sg citizenship from what you describe. Which is just as well since it's what you want, not to mention, the oci card probably gives you whatever you need for visiting India. Technically the kid can get both SG and IN citizenship and hold on to both till 21 y...

Re: Kid born overseas for SG Parents

It is very fast if done within the timeline. When I brought my son back from Australia he was registered within a couple days of our visit to ICA. Just FYI, likely i wont be applying for Indian Citizenship/passport and will apply directly online for SG Citizenship for the kid within a maximum of 1-...

Re: Citizenship chances?

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 You have not answered my questions Can a SC Kid with OCI study in an Indian International School in SG? The question as far as I know is "can an SC kid study in a non public school". I believe the answer is yes but only after getting special approval from mom. Correct me if I am wrong.
