Re: Rental spaces barring certain races openly

I was hunting for condo units for rent and there was one agent who openly refused my profile saying "Owner prefers only Chinese Tenants". I felt this was quite discriminating and shamelessly mentioned so openly. Is there any forum where these incidents on rentals can be flagged ? Might be some bad ...

Re: Does Singapore allow dual permanent residency? (SG and US)

sms has always said to have a Plan B in case PR or SC application is rejected. Is it necessary to be so aggressive with your posts anyway? You can’t read tone of voice via text and I wasn’t being hostile. My apologies. I wasn't intending to sound aggressive. Just typing quick messages in the middle...

At least it’s better to show interest by applying for SC rather than balik kampung once PR is obtained.
How about people who balik kampung after they applied for SC but were rejected? OK with you?

Re: Does Singapore allow dual permanent residency? (SG and US)

Singapore PR is not really "permanent" at all. It can be yanked at any time and for most any reason, chiefly that you don't have a job. It's closer to a super employment pass, with terms and conditions. PR has always been a stepping stone towards citizenship. If one wants it permanent, then take up...

Re: Need help to assess PR application profile

^ That’s why I asked Sunjackal whether he applied for PR via PTS or family ties scheme and he still has not given a response. If PTS, chances seem okay. If family ties and wife aka the sponsor is not working, that’s a huge question mark. Precisely the reason why I didn't apply via family ties even ...

Re: Need help to assess PR application profile

With respect to this point… Would it mean that if I am working and my wife elects to be a stay-at-home mum until our child starts school - that it’ll cause me a problem down the line because they won’t approve a visa based on the non-sponsor’s employment situation? Don't know if this helps..... My ...

Re: Does Singapore allow dual permanent residency? (SG and US)

From what I can see, the answer is yes, they do permit it. They basically only care about how much time you spend in Singapore and if you are still contributing. Stop contributing and they will reduce the duration of your re entry permit at renewal or not renew it at all. I know people who this happ...

Re: Perfect internet provider ?

The message displayed indicates "MDA". Of course, telcos can just tailor the message to anything if the government so dictates that is the message that needs to be displayed. So that in my opinion doesn't prove the point. The confirmation for me came from the horse's mouth as I mentioned above. Yes ...

Re: Perfect internet provider ?

From reading the forum, it seems like, as recently as a year or so ago, the big telecommunications companies throttled their fiber connections for international downloads at 15Mbps. Now that it appears that has changed, who appears to be the best ISP? My prior experience with large, established tel...

Re: How to lose weight?

We used to have one on here, name was Sergio. Miniature HULK height wise only! My rigidity was part of the programme, not the rest of my life. And it works beyond belief. In the process I also got rid of my HBP, Gout and cholesterol in good levels. Right. It always depends. You can be sure that I w...
