Re: "Nosey" Neighbors - More than the usual inquisitiveness !

My American husband is perfectly fine in the HDB so far... ‘cos we keep our front door closed. He does not feel comfortable with the front door open while the neighbours leave theirs open in the day. I grew up with my parents HDB front door closed too. HDBs built after the late 90s will not have an...

Re: Condo etiquette

More and more everyday. Especially the younger 'entitled' generations. But there of examples of all ages, sad to say. I see equally poor behavior from the older “pioneer” generation. A number of them seem to think that seniority means superiority, and therefore they can behave however they please, ...

Re: Poor condo etiquette

While I agree it’s nice gesture to rinse off, I have to be honest — there’s a lot of nasty stuff that comes off people’s bodies in the pool, rinse off or not. Just have a gander by the underwater light after dark... after a day of heavy use you will see plenty of hair and dead skin flecks floating ...

Poor condo etiquette

I had a frustrating experience with a neighbor recently and just wanted to share. I am lucky to live in a condo with a really large and beautiful pool, and I make it a point to use it at least once a week, both for fitness and for relaxation. It has always been my understanding that pool users shoul...

Re: "Nosey" Neighbors - More than the usual inquisitiveness !

SMS, I was born outside the SBC era but I did enjoy 90s TCS and early 2000s MediaCorp Chinese serials! Unfortunately, my memory is hazy about whether there was any ang mo character in the shows I watched since I preferred period dramas that they collaborated with China/HK and it’s a pity they don’t...

Re: Singapore PR chances 2021

Most significantly, your low salary is a huge concern, especially because your spouse is not working so you are expected to sustain both of you on just one salary. Thank you for the input - yes it will be a slightly tight budget if we become PR - but only until my wife gets a job here of course. Na...

Agree with Singaporeflyer. Seems like the incidents may not be related, but rather you are the one who is making links. Keep watching, and if these incidents persist, then you can consider doing something about it.

Re: Helper asking for a few thousand dollars

Yes, as much as I want to trust my helper, there is always a chance that thousands will disappear as a result, and that’s not a risk I’m very comfortable with.

May be I think too much.

I'm more concern, did she happen to be loan guarantor for her friend.
Now, friend MIA. Money lender come to her for payment?
I doubt it, that seems a little far fetched.

Re: Wigs for Thinning Hair/ Hair Loss

The wigs at Far East plaza seem to be of pretty low quality. Like everything else sold there, they are cheap, but they don’t even seem to be worth the price. Maybe look online?

Re: Expats get covid letter for vaccination?

Exactly. Employer and the military loved me as I never went on MC unless it was for an annual physical for my Class D license. But injury down time is a different story when I can actually see the injuries. Example, I though I was getting arthritis in my left wrist (or Carpal Tunnel Synd) so went t...

Re: Is Value dollar shop, a good place to shop ?

Once you try it, you'll never go back. Everybody says the same thing until they actually try it. (The heel is just the same as the rest of the crust on the slice off bread. When a loaf doesn't last but a day in a household of 5 it not any staler than the last regular slice of bread. You can use reg...
