The older I get, my disdain towards crowd grows.

So, this suits me just fine.

Not too many, although it’s been growing by the week.
Never really liked crowds, but this disdain has compounded since the start of the pandemic. The idea of being so close to others gives me terrible anxiety.

Re: Malls in the city seems quieter

Honestly, the overall mall "experience" has taken a bad hit with COVID. Being herded & tagged like cattle, temperature taking when driving into the car park, blocked entrances/exits all over the place, walking around with a bloody face mask for hours, checking in & out into every store... - These d...

If you look at the bottom of some HDB lifts you will see the patented Singapore Inc. Urine detector system - a series of little metal sensors inside a round insulator. If you pee to the side of them, no issue.
Speaking from experience? Hahaha

What kind of surgery? What is your budget? Are you under insurance? You haven’t given enough information to get an insightful answer.

Re: Is this Budget realistic for 2 persons?

Thanks again for your replies! Are you sure you want to use a car? Just using taxis all the time will be much cheaper. 1500 sgd/month for car rental only is on the lower side. It can be closer to 2000. No, I'm not sure. But I read that the dog won't be able to take public transportation, so we must...

Re: Is this Budget realistic for 2 persons?

Thanks all for your input, I find your overseas holiday estimate unrealistic- a round trip for 2 to France will set you back way more than $450. It is a monthly budget, so it you count $450/month, it ends up at $5400, which will be enough to come back to France, even during during Christmas time! I...

Re: Is this salary enough for a family of 3?

Yes but your expenditure doesn’t include money you’ve put away as savings does it? $10K a month will give you a relatively comfortable life but you’ll be left with nothing at the end of the day. OK let's rephrase this. I came to Singapore with my wife and a $10k income was what I calculated to requ...

Re: Is this Budget realistic for 2 persons?

Finding a house with a sizable garden will be a challenge at your budget, even though it is already on the high side. I find your overseas holiday estimate unrealistic- a round trip for 2 to France will set you back way more than $450. A google search shows that a round trip per person costs anywher...

Re: PR approval chance in 2020

Hi guys, I am Vietnamese. I have read many comments and realized that I have very low chances to get PR because of my nationality. However, in terms of my ethnicity, my great-grandpa and my great-grandma were Chinese. Will it boost my application? Is it a stretch to you guys? Mentioning your great-...

Re: How to lose weight?

Roughly 50kg in half a year. I had ups and downs but maintaining my weight now at around 85kg. I would not call it stable unfortunately. Singapore has too much good food to offer. That is so impressive, half a year?! I try not to weigh myself too often, and rather just go by how I look, feel, and d...

Re: How to lose weight?

The book I shared is written by an MD, Jason Fung. Read the reviews. He is a kidney specialist and has written books like "Diabetes Code" and "Cancer Code". He runs a clinic which uses Fasting as way to cure Chronic Diseases. The least u can do is get the kindle version and see how to lose weight. ...

Re: Poor condo etiquette

Actually you are correct observer. Except in my block which fronts park/basketball court that is extremely popular not just with the HDB residents both the young folks from across the road living in Landed properties as well. Usually they didn't use the lifts but used the stairwell landings. We end...
