Re: Where will you retire?

Very true, I’ve noticed this as well. My personal favorite is a guy named Mark Wiens, he does food tours all with the world but is based in Thailand. I’m also a subscriber of Mark’s, watching his Thai tea video convinced me I could make Thai tea on my own, and now I often do. You can buy Cha Tra Mu...

You could flag certain senders as not spam or go through the promotion folder and identify the important letters and flag those. The system will learn.

Re: Lunch box recommendations

Before WFH I used to pack an egg & cheese sandwich for breakfast every tue/thu each week (oatmeal in my mug for the other days). For that I used a square/flat Tupperware type of container, just slightly larger than the sandwich itself. Only $2 from Daiso, and it was perfect - took up very little sp...

Re: Lunch box recommendations

I need to buy a nice lunch box that's functional, keeps food tight and fresh, doesn't leak and not too big..are there any you can recommend? Been on amazon and shopee but have not found any suitable.. I’d recommend sistema lunchboxes (not the toothpaste brand). Relatively inexpensive $10-15 if I re...

Re: Lunch box recommendations

https://shop.tastemade.com/pages/prepd-pack I bought one of these when it was first launched as a kickstarter project. Sadly, I retired before I received it (retired 3.5 years early @ 71.5 yrs)), not because it was late. So I gifted it to my daughter. She loves it. YMMV. Wow, you’re a big spender S...

Re: How to lose weight?

Calories are calories, there is no difference whatsoever. The only difference is nutrition and the amount of each type of food you will be able to consume. This I cant believe. Its certainly not true but you are entirely entitled . Just bcuz majority believe this nonsense does not make it true. Thi...

Re: New in Town

Most of us over 50's are a lot younger at heart than that so tend to gravitate to the 40's (and 30's if we can get away with it. We used to have a FNDC before our 'hostess with the mostest' pass away and it kind of fell apart. Then covid happened and for the last two years virtually squat happening...

The spike is because of the ramping up of the various testing regimes picking up even asymptomatic cases with ART and the others. AND Delta.
Makes sense, perhaps the number of cases aren’t actually rising, just that the number of reported cases are.

Re: Covid situation not looking so good?

It will probably continue until it hits around 5K/day. Don't forget, the vast majority are on home quarantine (HQO) and in all probability are asymptomatic with no apparent effects but still showing up as infected. Additionally, as we are looking at over 80% fully vaccinated. It's mostly elderly wh...

Re: Fitness tips for gym newbies

I'm not claiming to be an expert here, but one important thing I've learned over the years is to remember to rest enough between exercise, and usually better have different days for cardio vs weights, and not to go over the top when starting new exercise routines, but give your body time to adjust....

Re: Fitness tips for gym newbies

In my opinion, not a lot of difference between kettlebells and dumbbells. Try both and see which one you like. I'm not a big fan of personal trainers, mostly because I've had more experience mentoring people than most of them. From noobs to intermediates to lifters asking how to maintain strength d...
