Football : ANZA (www.anzasoccer.com), JSSL (an Arsenal soccer academy), International Soccer Academy ISA plus a new ManU academy Rugby : Centaurs is my preference (www.centaursgroup.com). Rugby is my primary sport and I took time looking at all clubs before choosing Centaurs. Other options are Tang...

At 7 & 9 they should be OK

but when they get older there are not enough kids so it becoms a problem. The school offers (at least) football, swimming, athletics & Netball but no Rugby or cricket. Other sports I dont really know. When my son was 12 he had to play U16 football because there are not enough people at the school af...

Crumbed fish

All fish here seems to be smothered in twice as much batter as there is fish. I havent found crumbed fish anywhere. No decent hot meat pies but the better frozen ones are OK. Bread without sugar and preservatives. Australian bread is just different - and the Vietnamese bakeries in Aus often make the...

Understanding? - IANAL

Ok it's becoming obvious I'm asking the wrong crowd here. Clearly no one understands the concept of babysitting so I guess I'll move on... I think the general understanding of board members may be more that you are giving credit. You are considering offering a serivce with no paperwork but costing ...

not cost effective

Even if you average 10 kids at $2000pm with 4 terms that totals $80,000 per year. Assuming you would need a place to do this and insurance I dont think this would be viable. Secondly, why would I risk my childrens education to an unknown home school - accreditation would help but there is more costs...

No problems meeting Aussies in Singapore

There are Aussies everywhere you go in Singapore who are generally happy to embrace the Noob (this holds true for other nationalities also) If you like sport, I always found the Roo bar in the Orchard hotel more welcoming than most other "Aussie" bars particularly as it is a small sports bar and les...

A question of conversion timing

So if you have had a DL for around 20 years, but a motorbike license for less than 12 months what happens? I would declare as I am either too honest or a really bad lier  Do you still have to do the practical tests, training, ...? Given I dont yet have either a car nor a bike should I just wai...

try http://lmgtfy.com/?q=singapore+rugby+clubs Depending on what grade you are looking to play the season is either half way through of close to finishing. I suggest going to one of the games and check out the club you wish to join - while I am sure they all have advantages, my club is obviously the...

shipping from Aus?

I am about to ship some stuff from Aus (as an individual so not great shipping rates) and wondering if adding some wine is worth it. I expect to declare and pay the duty but if it is not worth the hassel I would prefer to know.

And suggestions or advice please?

Food delivery to Faber

We live in Faber which is a great place, save the absence of a coffee shop / Kopitiam. Once (and only once) we got a flyer for food delivery but would like to know any recommended places for good local food that delivers. Singaporean, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, sandwiches, ... are all good but not l...
