buy a free app

and use the option similar to "provide credit card details later"
you need to enter a valid us zip code matching the suburb. 90210 may be the most used postcode

To purchase apps you need to get a US itunes gift card and add it to your itunes account.

Root canal price?

gf,
my wife needs a root canal and we are looking for an indicative cost in Singapore. The Dentist in Aus suggested a root canal being better than extraction, so we are interested in price.

Thanks.

If you dont mind stepping out of your comfort zone, Golden mile is a popular place for authentic thai food. That's where the Thais are. For another place even further outside of your comfort zone, Orchard Towers has some good Thai food, too. Some of the clientele may not be "family-friendly," but t...

"Alteration Initiative" at Dhobby Xchange (just above the MRT station) does alterations for jeans, and other clothing types too. It's a social initiative which hires single mums. You can find out more at their website: http://www.alteration.com.sg/index.html I have no relation to this store other t...

I'm back

The answer is that online bookings through ethiad need 48 hours even though they can be bought after this. I went into the office and got my ticket for an extra $30 but they said you can buy at airport but the price may be higher depending on availability.

still > 24 hrs

Thanks, I thought about that but the flight is still > 24 hrs away and I tried about 4 hours ago :(

I may ring their office tomorrow and see if they will do the ticket for the same price. The other airline has a flight Thurs afternoon which I can take otherwise, but I lose a day back home.

urgent - minimum advance booking time for booking flights

:( I tried to book a flight for tomorrow night and received: "Your itinerary does not meet the minimum advance booking requirement for the country of departure. Please contact the nearest xxx Airways booking office for assistance" Is this just for this company or is it a Singapore thing? I would rat...

New registrations until 6pm SGT

You have until 8pm AEST (6pm SGT) to register so I *guess* the same to withdraw.

A question - why do you want to withdraw? I mainly want to know if it is for tax reasons to not be treated as a resident for tax reasons.

Near MRT

Wherever you stay, be as close to an MRT as you can. I am about 800m from the station but in the morning it is too far to walk withouit breaking into a sweat. Places close to the MRT may be slightly more expensive, but it is worth it.

Dave

The style of table at Ikea is Dave. In the Alexandria Rd store there is an example as soon as you walk into the store on the upper level. Comes in at least Red and White - I bought the white one but thought the red was funky. I think it also comes in blue and black. It is more triangular than your e...

Annoyed ;-)

I have been meaning to come along to FNDC for a while but dont frequent the forum all that often.

So why am I annoyed?

Because last week I was kicked out of the Giraffe to make room for a function :(

Hope to meet a few people on this Friday night instead.

Andrew.
