Tennis beginners - can you recommend a good coach?

Hi,

we are an early 30s couple and looking to pick up tennis. We have some courts in our condo (Harbourfront area) and are looking for a recommendation for a private coach.

Anyone?

When it comes to banks do I know that at least Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered and Barclays have dive clubs. The first two are pretty active, no idea about Barclays (just know that all three organized some drinks before). Another social oriented dive club is part of the British Club. Forgot the na...

Ok, I'll admit it: English is not my first language. I am looking for plastic or aluminium rails used to clip on the ends of large posters or banners. My dictionary told me that they are called poster rails in English and when I checked the term with a simple google picture search did I see the exac...

Re: Where can I find poster rails in Singapore?

Art Friend has them. http://www.artfriend.com.sg/locates.html THanks for the help, but a short update - they don't. I first went to the Takashimaya outlet which had none at all but directed me to the Bras Basah one... which had only tiny ones in some 60-70 cm size, even smaller than a normal poster...

Where can I find poster rails in Singapore?

Hi! I want to hang up a rather large map and don't break the bank by getting it custom framed as no off the shelve frame would be large enough. I am looking for the "snap on rails" you can put on the top and bottom to hang them up. Back home in Europe would I find those in DIY stores, but here did I...

This is common in Europe as well, isn't it? I believe in UK, you must 1st give preference to UK candidates and then to EU candidates and finally rest of the world. No, it is not common in Europe at all and most of the anecdotal evidence is completely outdated or misunderstood: The free movement of ...

I am planning to paint a flat this weekend and well, as others have posted - I know where home fix and self fix outlets are... but I just don't believe that the average Singaporean pays those prices.

Anyone a good tip for a paint and paint tools shop?

Thanks for organising. Could do with some food the next time, the attack on one basket of fries was bit of a hilarity. We hadn't realised how hungry we were. Fully agree. On top of that did I not realize before how just how little "happy" they had in their happy hour. I think the place is a good ve...

Chris, can you give your name to the staff at the bar so people can identify you? Once you are joined by one or two it'd be hard to tell who's who. I assume white shirts black pants is a jibe at the bankers. I'll be there at 1830 easily, lace shirt, black skirt. I went by the bar yesterday to check...

Will you be easy to spot?? Yes, easy: I'll be the ONE guy in the bar not wearing a white shirt and black pants... So it looks we have some 5-10 casual "yes"... which should be enough and anyone deciding short notice: Just join. I know that it's hard to plan it, but I'd be happy if some people show ...

Awesome, looks like we are getting a group together for Tuesday. To everyone - if you are planning on joining, please just drop a short line here, so I roughly have an idea how much space we will need.

Thanks and see you!

Hmm... I can't help it but to notice the similarity in the style... http://forum.singaporeexpats.com/sutra656644.html Nevertheless, I like this style, makes reading easier. Oh, ok. After work drinks MBFC/Raffles Place on Tuesday Sep 10

Hi! Following up a recent discussion on here: New in town or simply want to meet some new faces? Who?: It does not matter how old you are, where from, gender, occupation... looks like the average will be early 30s, but it really does not matter to any of us. Where?: The Blarney Irish Pub, The Sail @...
